Gates Hudson is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Portfolio Accounting Manager to join our growing team! This role will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of apartment buildings in the Metro DC area. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management, accounting, GL, financial statements, account reconciliation, accruals, and strong Excel skills.

The Property Manager is accountable for all property operations. The purpose of the Property Manager is to effectively manage and coordinate persons, activities and available resources in order to accomplish property objectives as set forth by the Regional Manager and the Property Owner.  These objectives will include maximizing occupancy levels and property values.  In addition, the Property Manager will train the Assistant Property Manager to assume all duties of the Property Manager in the event of the Property Manager’s absence.

This position is aimed at supporting community activities as well as administrative support to the Community Site Manager.  The Activity Director for the Spring Hill Community Association (SHCA) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Spring Hill Community Program of Activities that promote social, intellectual, creative, spiritual, and physical well-being, and supplementing the Lifestyle Committee’s activities.  The administrative support responsibility is to assist the Site Manager in administrative tasks, resident inquiries (in person/phone), filing, mailings and other business office responsibilities as directed by the Site Manager or the Board of Director President.
